Portable Space Ideas

I liked the idea of looking at how we could move and change spaces around the room which would allow us to create a new space with in a space which is approachable to students. Something that could be rolled up and dropped down to create a big screen or to divide the room up.
Fabric placed in front of the windows that could have repetitive patterns cut out of it which could allow a limited amount of light depending on what time of day it was which in its self could create a nice space for people to work in as well as different patterns to shine through onto the floor or wall for example.

My personal opinion is that I don't like the idea of having a blank space for textile students to work in. I think that the space should be used to its best potential, something that creates a relaxed, workable and exciting environment will be much more inviting and welcoming to students and encourage them to use the space. We could create prints and textures through dyeing and handling fabric and looking at colours fabric that work well together to create some interesting prints and designs.
I looked at a textile artist called Ptolemy Mann who I found interesting when looking at colour and installations.
